Let’s all congratulate Mary Garren for her hard work in developing a line dance for the Cherry Groove contest. After many hours of working out a routine that dancers could master, and be so different that it will certainly stand out, she pulled it together in just enough time. In less than 1 hour she assembled 6 people, taught the steps and had it videoed so she could get it entered in time for the contest. If time had permitted, more club members could have participated, but it just didn’t happen. Let’s all hope we will be getting a concert at Time Out from Big Time Party Band soon.

Our Purpose
The purpose of this non-profit social club, located in Durham, NC, is to enjoy and promote shag dancing and beach music. We have many fun-loving, friendly members.
We sponsor shagging on most of the 1st and 3rd Saturday nights at Time Out Sports Bar located at 1301 Fordham Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (located inside The University Inn). PH: 919-918-1081.

Throughout the year we raise money for the Ronald McDonald House and also sponsor special events, including a spring fling, dance contest, and Christmas party. We also have several joint parties with other area shag clubs. Non-members are welcome.
